MySupplements ("we," "our," or "the app") is operated by MySupplements LLC, a New York limited liability company. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name.

Supplement Data: The supplements you log, including product names, ingredients, dosages, and intake times. This is the core data you provide to use the app.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and improving the app.

Camera & Photos: If you use the barcode scanner or photo recognition features, we access your camera. Photos are processed to identify supplement products and are not stored on our servers beyond what is needed for recognition.

Search History: Searches you run in the app (products, brands, and safety records), used to return results and improve matching.

Purchase & Subscription Data: If you subscribe to Full Access, we store your subscription status and an Apple transaction identifier, linked to your account, so your access works across your devices and survives reinstalls. Apple processes all payments, we never see or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the supplement tracking experience
• To identify supplements via barcode and photo recognition
• To alert you about potential ingredient duplications or interactions
• To sync your data across your devices
• To send important service updates (not marketing, unless you opt in)

3. What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your personal data to third parties
• We do not share your health or supplement data with advertisers
• We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to the app's functionality

4. Data Storage & Security

Your app data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption on our own backend hosted on AWS, with row-level security ensuring only you can access your data.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store: processes all subscription payments and manages billing. We receive your subscription status from Apple, never your payment details.
• Apple HealthKit: only if you explicitly grant permission, to sync supplement intake with your health data. We do not read or write HealthKit data without your consent.
• PostHog: product analytics, session replay, and heatmaps on the website. Purposes: understand how visitors use the site and diagnose usability issues. Form inputs are masked before session recordings are saved. When you tap a link to the App Store we also record that click, together with which link on the page you tapped, using a small identifier stored in this browser so the click can be matched to the rest of your visit. That identifier is not created, and the click is not recorded, if you have opted out below or if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. Data processed in the US by PostHog Inc. Retention follows PostHog's Free-tier defaults (approximately one year for events and one month for session recordings). To opt out, see the section below or email hello@mysupplementsapp.com.
• Google Analytics 4: web analytics for this website, measurement ID G-FF03C928NC. Purposes: understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and which links they follow. It records page views, scrolls, outbound clicks and similar on-page interactions, together with a Google-set identifier stored in this browser, your approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and your device and browser type. We do not send it your name, your email address or anything about the supplements or medications you take. Google Signals and ads personalization are off. Data is processed by Google LLC in the US under the Google Ads Data Processing Terms. Google Analytics does not load at all if you have used the opt-out below or if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all data we store about you within the app
• Export: You can export your supplement data at any time
• Delete: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, in the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account
• Correction: You can edit any information you've provided

7. Children's Privacy

MySupplements is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Medical Disclaimer

MySupplements is an informational tool for tracking supplement intake. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about supplements or medications.
